Oil 15 x 11This painting was started on Carroll Rd the first day out and by the end of that day I was so disappointed because I had managed to make everything middle value. Blah! I put it aside all week and on the last day decided to revisit it. So back to Carroll Rd I went. I'm not sure what happened, but it transformed! This was such a good lesson for me - instead of thinking I had ruined a painting I needed to understand that I just wasn't finished. I see now that I could have pushed the values a little more, but I'm satisfied with it anyway. I really like the layering of color.
