The fourth day we visited the fields of a winery on the penninsula. The morning was full of sushine and was a really nice day to paint. This image is of the beginning stages of my pastel painting from that day. This ended up being the most challenging work for me, and I still consider my foreground incomplete...I'm waiting for inspiration to hit before I go back to it and finalize the foreground. I really like this view, and I have some other photos of this view from that day from which I plan to attempt another painting. Although, the next day after painting at the sunflower fields, I went back to this location and was not inspired by this view at all. I looked at my photos on my camera, and it was definitely the lighting from the previous morning that made such a difference.
