On the third day we painted at the Mission Point Light House. It was a misty morning and rain threatened, but the scenery was gorgeous with an extremely calm and reflective lake view. At one point, I panicked and thought that the rain clouds were headed my way...I packed up my pastels, and was ready to leave, but was informed that the clouds were actually moving away from us. So, I set-up again and finished my pastel painting on-site. These images represent the final 16x20" pastel painting and an initial pastel underpainting from that day.
